Kids Life Coach Academy
You are probably reading this because you are interested in coaching children. My guess is that deep down you feel you have a calling, a purpose bigger than yourself. You want to make a difference? Am I on track so far?
Whether that purpose is coaching your own child to become a leader or supporting other people's children, I know that you are reading this blog because you have a fire in your belly that has been prompted by all the challenges that you are seeing children facing.
I can assure you that there is nothing more rewarding than knowing that you have made a positive impact in a child's life. Not just an impact that is short lived but something that will lay the foundation for their entire adult life. How do I know this? Many of the children I have coached are now successful adults. For example, I have a Doctor, an Accountant, an international model, a very ambitious entrepreneur, a head of an international charity. All of them still in touch with me because I made an impact on their lives when they were younger.
My little coaching clients have and always will be more than just my clients. To me they are an opportunity for me to contribute to making this world a better place. Even though I am the coach, they are my biggest teachers and at the end of each coaching session, I feel so fulfilled. It is the children I have worked with that need to get the credit for my biggest lessons that I now share in my adult Kids Life Coach courses. It was because these children trusted me and allowed me to grow and learn alongside them, that I was given the opportunity to refine and review my materials that I now use in my courses.
I need to admit though that with some children I have had rocky roads with lots of tough challenges and a feeling that I wasn't making a difference. The journey was slower and trickier and I felt out of my depth. So that could also be the reason why you are interested in finding out more about what a Kids Life Coach does.
Perhaps you work with children or as a parent you are seeing problems first hand. You have no doubt at times had a heavy heart when you see the media reports speaking about bullying, suicide and teen pregnancies. I want to reassure you that no matter how big you think the problems are, I want to share a little gift right now.
That gift is that you have within you everything you need to coach children. You have wisdom, intuition, life experience, empathy and your own strengths. You are perfectly positioned in this present moment to be happy, motivated and inspired. You have probably been on your own self development journey just like me and that makes you a coach. I want to encourage you to take all of that and use it to give yourself the foundation to coach children based on what you have personally experienced so far.
So to answer the question: "What does a Kids Life Coach do?"
A Kids Life Coach places enormous value on the unique blueprint of each child and the focus is on strengthening talents & skills rather than on fixing problems. So in a nutshell, as a Kids Life Coach, your job is to nurture children to have enthusiasm for life so that they can reach their true potential and live a life of greatness.
Inspiring children to achieve greatness is not about wanting them to be confident in all areas of their life. It is about telling them it is normal to feel vulnerable and lacking in confidence in some areas. Famous people who have succeeded as being leaders in their field didn't do this because they were confident first, they did so because they believed they could, they set goals and they practiced the skills to back them up. With this came the confidence to become authorities in their field.
When you think about inspiration, perhaps what inspires you most are ordinary people who are doing extraordinary things.Too many people assume that a person is only great if he/she makes national headlines. But being in the press or in the news isn't necessary. In fact, sometimes the most inspiring people in the world go completely unnoticed. What inspires are the people who do something to better humanity in their own small corner of the world. They don't need headlines or accolades. They need only to know that they stepped up to make things better. This is what a Kids Life Coach does. They step up to make things better!
I want you to understand that you can be an inspiration to a child, no matter what you feel you have or have not achieved, what you know or do not know. Even if you feel that you have not yet reached your best self, and even if you feel like you are experiencing your own personal low, you have the ability to inspire a child. It is about giving the best part of yourself to the children you coach and inspiring them to become leaders by showing them how you lead your own life. Children need mentors, guides and role models now more than ever and that person is you. You have what it takes!
